About Superintelligence News
Superintelligence News is an independent publication about superintelligence and the race toward it. We report the news and explain the ideas in plain language: what AI labs are building, what governments decide, what researchers find, and the debate about safety. Every article lists the sources it relies on.
What we cover
- Superintelligence: what it is, how close it might be, and the arguments on every side.
- Policy & Government: laws, executive orders, international agreements and how governments talk about AI.
- AI Labs & Companies: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, Meta, SpaceXAI (formerly xAI), Safe Superintelligence and the others building more capable systems.
- Research & Models: how large language models and AI agents work, and what new research shows.
- Safety & Alignment: the risks of advanced AI and the work to keep it under human control.
We publish two kinds of articles. News reports what happened, with dates and sources. Explainers give the background you need to follow the news. We aim to be neutral: we attribute claims to the people who make them, separate facts from opinion, and label analysis as analysis.
Who we are
Superintelligence News is edited by Umair, who holds a PhD in artificial intelligence and has more than 10 years of experience in the field. Every article is approved by the editor before it is published. Each article states who is credited, whether AI tools helped to produce it, and which sources it used. Read how we research and correct our work in our editorial policy and corrections policy.
How the site is funded
We plan to be funded by advertising. Ads never influence what we write, and sponsored content, if we ever publish any, is clearly labeled. Details are in our advertising policy.
